That video dosnt help much as iv had to cut away my bottem arm bracket as it hits the drive shaft so running adjustable bottem arms(mount different)

Just wondering if I need more strength around my sump on drivers side (not finished yet needs some triangle bracing and welding some seams)

I'd definitely put another bar from the front of the subframe to the bottom of the towers like you've got on the gearbox side, plenty of room to go either around the sump or under it

Yeah tap the sump in with a hammer n block of wood, plenty of room inside the sump most of us micra boys have had to do it :)

Check page 7 of my build there is a few pics on there :) http://www.theminifo...cra-mini/page-7

I went as far as I could cut and welded sump to give lots of clearance. Here's some other pics of where I'm at

I managed to squeeze the original micra one in the front but alot of people change to a small denso alternator and either front mount it or side mount it, are you on facebook?

Yes mate I'm on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/josh.day.9659
I ended up mounting on the side gives me 1.5inches clearance from front panel.

If that's bolted onto the timing chain cover you may find that the vibrations when running cause the cover to leak slightly although a few people I know have mounted it like that with no problems :)

If you get chance join nissan powered classic minis

You'll find loads of information on there to aid your conversion and people will always try there best to help with any questions/problems you come across :)
