Hi,
I read recently on here that the 2 inners are fogs, which would be switched by the front fog light switch and the outers are spots which would come on with the main beam. Memory withstanding!
Cheers

I wired mine in through a couple of relays. The spots have a signal wire from the main beam and the fogs have a signal wire from the rear fog lamp switch, both sets are switched so they can be turned off if required.
Fogs are on the outside spots in the middle.

Hi,
I thought fogs on the outside made more sense after idI typed it but my memory told me it was the other way!

You can be very popular if you get it the wrong way around!

To be honest, the spot/fog lights as fitted as standard on the later cars were poor in terms of lighting improvement and were not good quality units. They don't increase the range of the lights much, if at all.
A better option can be to fit a pair of good auxiliary driving lights such as the Cibie Oscar which have longer range. For appearance, the old Lucas 7" 'Flamethrower' (SLR700) was superb when fitted with a halogen bulb, but they are expensive these days.
