I have an Austin Mini Panel Van built in Early Sept. 1968 that I have a few questions about.

First:  It was built on Sept 12th 1968, dispatched in Sept. 13th 1968 to Canada.  Would a car built at this point in the year be a 1968 or 1969 model year?

Second:  My certificate has the exterior colour listed as 'Primer'.  I assume this was common with the commercial vehicles as they would be painted in company colours once delivered.  Has anyone had this before on their certificate, or was there a specific reason that a panel van would be shipped in primer.  I also assume here that the inside and bottom would still have been painted in a finish colour (White?) prior to assembly.  Any input here?

Thank's for your help Mini Guru's!

Tim.
