Are you fitting it with a cat ?

well as i need to overhaul the system looking at new 3 to 1

http://www.minispare...t/C-STR336.aspx

then i can either bend some pipe and add a CAT or add CAT and RCM into a single box rear.

just waiting to hear is the manifold will clear remote housing and Hardys. then i need to talk to locals about pipe bending.

what i am thinking is the pipe part of the RCM could be swap-able for with and with out cat.

fing ball ache.

I run the maniflow large bore 3 into 1 manifold, it clears the remote and loads of clearance on the hardy spicer.
So easy to install as well with 3 individual pipes. No room for clamps, think I saw a photo you posted recently with bolts through welded tubes on an lcb, well I welded tubes to mine in the same way and wire them together with brazing rod.

The 3/1 should clear OK

I weld 5/16 nuts on the side and use 1/4 bolts to pull things up

Does sound like a right faff...

Thought you might run the RCM and no box, but guess that will be too loud for the regs

the main faf is lack of approved CATs at 2" the smallest are at 55mm but where there is a will there is a way.

Instead of running the LCB 2 into 1, I ran one pipe straight to the back of my Mini pick-up, and through a just legal Muffler, to one side, and the other pipe ran through a series of straight-through silencers to the other side.

It looked, and almost sounded as though you were following a V8.

Andy a question re the RCM part is it a silencer (perforated tube with wadding around enclosed in a shell) or is it an open box? that is to say what you see is what you get and it is empty? if you dont know no probs i will ask Maniflow direct.

I ran the road version with a maniflow freeflow. The performance was better (rolling road assessed) than the rc40 it replaced (same manifold) and the sound was lovely but not loud.

been looking for more info on this and from the pictures i have found no one seems to have an idea how to fit it.

in the wrong order and the wrong way around.

but i am thinking that it is actually a silencer rather than just a RCM.

I don’t think it is a silencer, or at least the one in my competition system isn’t - Maniflow recommended and included a centre silencer in mine.
No idea how to fit? You’d be hard pushed to get it the wrong way roundabout it has male and female ends and how do you get it in the wrong order?

That's what I thought but having seen two different ways of it being fitted on the Internet ......

And are you sure we are talking about the same part as the RCM goes where the center silencer is.
