So the next one is underway!
It's a 79/80 Pick-up and looks reasonably good at first glance but is still going to require a lot of work to bring it back up to scratch.
It has had a fair amount of work done in the past like most including a new front end but overall is very solid.
I'm going to be replacing the front end including the scuttle and A panels (inner and outer) Ill replace the entire cab floor including sills, cross member and heel board and then there are just many small repairs and some slightly larger ones.
Once done, it will be re-painted in this colour again.
Ill be sending it off for blasting so I want to remove the front end to make it easier for the guy to do a through job.
First to come off are the wings and front panel
And then I can start removing the remains of the wing tops, scuttle and A panels. Not wonderfully easy as they have been replaced before so lots of plug welds to discover and grind out.
I had planned to repair the inner wings but I'm not sure what they are going to be like post blasting so ill have to wait and see.
To remove the A panels, I need to locate and grind out the plug welds.
That's as far as I have got so far but stay tuned for further updates on this one.
Cheers
Ben
