Great work on the van, The grille's looking excellent.
What arches did you have on the blue mk2?
Thanks its taking shape..is the mini in your picture Smoke Grey ?...Grille still needs the outer bezel making which i will do when its off to paint..arches on the Mk2 were group 2 all blended in...
yep smoke grey, more photos of it in the last few pages of my project thread below. I think the willow green will suit the van well, especially with that grille. ah right, they look great.
Thanks thats another colour on my list..just finished reading your thread...lovely job you've done lots of nice touches and great engineering throughout..i hope mine turns out as good..

Oooh louvres look awesome!
Been on my to do list for a long time on previous cars but this is the first one I've had to remove the bonnet support to do a rust repair..so the louvres had to be done..not gone mad just a sensible amount to add a touch of something different..

Thanks both are taking shape..the truck was in a mock up stage in this pic it has now moved on with most of the chassis work done and any angle iron test pieces removed and replaced with seamless tubing and gussets where needed to support engine/suspension..i see you are local...

Thanks its not bad considering its original apart from the arches which have been replaced prior to my owning the van..gone backwards a bit this week..the very first repair i made panel wise to the lower passenger side door step and lower 1/4 which i used a known repair panel has always bothered me..even before it was fitted the shape was bad i even wrang the supplier to query the shape..so it was No1 on the snag list so armed with the compulsary grinder out it came..ive now made my own and hopefully will get it to fit to a standard i can live with..
