CobraV8, That's interesting to know.
When you say rack & rod ends, I assume spherical joints instead of the normal lower arm bushes & a quick rack?.
I already have rose jointed bottom arms, but was contemplating fitting a quick rack, although the use of a slightly larger steering wheel helps.
What wheels are you currently running & do you know what the offset is?.

I fitted a quick rack to mine, I already had rose jointed lower arms and poly bushed tie bars.
The quick rack did appear to make it slightly easier to control but not much better. There was no noticeable wear in the old rack.

Ok folks here's the issue & I'm sure some one will know the answer (or I hope so).
I'm currently running 10 x 6 ultralight wheels with a -3 ET over Mini sport 7.9" 4 pot alloy calipers. Machined down vented discs, Mini 8.4 drive flanges, Mini Hubs / steering arms. Although the calipers run close to the wheel with this setup, they do miss due to the negative ET.
However I'm Not happy with the the large offset of both the front / rear wheels & feel that this is causing handling issues.
What I need to know is, has anyone else used another alloy wheel with a more positive ET over these calipers ( looking at the Mini Lite with a +8 ET). Or do I need to go back to the Cooper S setup i.e 7.5 disc, drive flange & caliper setup?
Thanks in advance.
I bit the bullet and bought a set of 100mm backspace 6x10 genuine minilites, they fit, just over kad 7.9" vented discs and mini 8.4" drive flanges. Can't bolt them up fully yet as I need to fit shorter studs but they are correctly located on the sleeve nuts and held fully flat to the flange. Printed out kads tenplate, scale was correct but it indicated that the calipers would foul the wheel, but I took a chance anyway.

They look really nice & they fit well over the caliper. I think that you have made the right choice & that may be the way to go. What ET are they?.

Minispares list them as 'S' offset and quote them as having 100mm backspace and if I remember rightly 74mm from hub face to outer edge of rim. This works out to ET13.
