Are there engineering diagrams for anything on the Mini available somewhere? There should be a spec for exactly what size everything is supposed to be and then it could be measured to see if it was worn, or a new part wasn't made right, etc.

I have some, and that's were figures like that I quoted above come from.

Does anyone know the design width of the rear hub shoulder? Probably +/-0.001" tolerance from nominal once I can find what that is.

0.4715" (or 27/64").

Thanks for this !!! I can check to see if the hubs ARE worn or if I have done something wrong (but not sure what that could be if I have pushed the outer races up to the shoulder the rest of the assembly is pretty much fixed)

Hi

Just been reading through this again, did you resolve this issue with one 0.1mm shim on the outer race before fitting the taper bearing or did you fit them on both races in the hub. Presuming fitting these stops the spacers touching allowing the play to be taken up, unless I’m not understanding this properly

Thanks again
