Last thing to do before priming the underside is to weld in the inertia reel seatbelt brackets.
Then primer
After that I started stripping back the door frames

Hi Ben,
Where did you get the brackets from? I need to get those for my project as well.
Thanks.

Prep is now complete on the bolt on panels ready for primer.
I've just finished priming, I'll add photos shortly.
Cheers

Thanks Darren. I believe I still need another bracket that is located near the rear window on the C post. It is shown in your third link, but those also come with the rear seat brackets, which I already have.

Iβm sure a grown man should not be quite so excited.
Looks great Ben.
I best get a shift on with the sub frame builds or it will have to stay on the trolley.

The last of the initial prep has been completed over the past few days and it's now ready for primer
Time for primer.
Whilst that dries, I'll start prepping the doors
Cheers

Smiling ear to ear. Almost 4 years to the day since I pushed Lady P (registration number) into the stage to start work.
Going to be fun this summer driving in the sun βοΈ

Ben, the inside of the car looks a lot darker? Did you prep the orange paint then use an isolator? looks like you then sanded again.
Anyway looks amazing, can't wait to see the colour on.

I took the orange paint off. The rear seat area looks darker as its a combination of keyed up e coat and existing grey primer keyed up.
It's all sound so I used an isolator on those areas prior to the highbuild.

That and the lighting makes it look darker. The companion bins for example are bare metal

Doors and bootlid prepped and ready for colour.
I'll topcoat them in the morning so they can harden whilst I get some primer sanded on the shell and once hardened be stored painted whilst I do the rest.
