I have found that pretty much all Jap stuff like this rots like hell underneath. You are lucky to have a L200 that isn't rusty!

I don’t think any of the Navaras come from Japan, the ones here are from Thailand and they also make them in Spain.. but I understand your point  :D

Well I have now completed the wheel alignment, had the car MOT'd and added the last few bits.

I took it for it's first test drive yesterday after completing this work and took a few pictures out and about

I had a few issues on the test drive but they are only a few interior rattles to find and resolve and the temperature gauge isn't reading properly.

Other than that, It's done!

Cheers

Ben

Love it! It looks so good in the sunlight. A GTS rear badge would be a nice finishing touch.

Paintwork looks stunning - just needs the contents of the engine bay painting up to a similar condition now - or keep the bonnet shut!

Great work Ben, it looks superb, the arches really suit as well.

I like the Mill road number plates, you should produce some Mill Road window stickers to show people where the excellent work has been carried out?

Thanks John.

We did discuss this a few years back and came up with this

Which now looks terrible. It needs to be something decent but I might have to get someone to come up with something better as I'm not great with designs for things like this.

Mill Road Garage used to be the Islands Austin/Rover dealership back in the day and still used the window stickers up until about 15 years ago. Some of our long time customers still have them in their rear windows so may be cool to re-create that?

Recreating the original Austin/Rover stickers would be a great idea. Maybe you could use the original sticker style/fonts with updated information i.e Restored By... Email address etc

What a stunning car. I've always loved the 1275gt and that squarer front .

The car is going to attract a lot of attention and also I suspect from some undesirable types.

I hope the owner has a mind on security.

In one of the boot shots you had a very good condition battery cover.

Is it original or have you just purchased it.

If so can you say where from?

Thanks for the compliments.

As has been said, Minispares sell the covers. They are very well made and not expensive either.

Cheers

This one looks like it's made of a hard card type material. Is that the case? I was thinking of getting one, but would rather it be made of plastic so that it doesn't get damaged by water ingress.
