Just googled images you are correct I remember the yellow paper then the smaller black a white paper with its logo in green (Friday ads)

This is from there site
Welcome to Friday-Ad!
The Friday-Ad brand was born in 1975 with the launch in Sussex of the UK’s first free classified paper. From the start, founders Chris and Liz Kidger loved the idea of bringing together buyers and sellers in a simple, low-cost way.

Friday-Ad.co.uk launched in 1994 and soon developed into one of the UK's leading classified websites. Today over 362,000 ads are placed online each week, attracting a total of 2.3 million visitors per year.

Friday-Ad was a competitor to Loot I seem to remember? ...Loot came out on different days so you could get more coverage.

Sold and purchased cars from Gumtree over the years, it's used a lot by people searching for really aggressively priced stuff.

I think there was loads of types of those papers.

Really dirt-cheap production where the ink got all over your hands whilst reading??

Some were free as well IIRC, or came as a supplement to other papers you were buying ???

I bought my mini from gumtree. Friday ad mainly had dealers rather than private sellers.
