Bought this mini of a mate who had it for a good few years, in short he bought another mini that was already on the road, and this came my way.

It was running and rolling just waiting for a decision on the roof and paint or so i thought.

After chipping of the filler off the roof, as a sunroof hole had been filled in, i decided to replace the whole roof.

Now it was time to look over the rest of the car

with those patches and patches to the seat base and the boot floor had a have already welded in,

time to wield the grinder and cut it out properly

just have to wait for some parts to arrive then i can start welding

Be nice seeing a large area of sound metal going in, great boast to a project. Good luck with it.

fitting the battery box to the floor, fits like a glove!!! in all honesty i've seen lots of people modifying these to fit

before

and after

ordered some heritage wheel arches after looking at some others, and concluded neither fit well but heritage should be made from better steel as i felt a warm glow inside knowing where my recycled bean cans go when modifying the battery box

How did you get your battery box to fit ? I'm having the same problem.

I can't get mine right, did you cut and weld it ?

I know it is a bit late to say this after you have already bought it, but I used an M-Machine battery box and the fit was very good. That will fit with a bit of hammer and dolly work on the flanges. Good luck with the Mini

I ended up doing that with Project Erm. Nowhere near the contour of the floor.
