Hi

I have a DVLA form V55/5 to fill in in order to register a 1979, 998cc Australian Moke which requires details apparently from a CoC.

Can anyone help me with advice on completing the V55/5 as some questions are imposible to answer , or has anyone have a copy of a CoC and is willing to help ?.

Regards     Weef

no it does not need one. they never existed back then.

you need to MOT it on the VIN, insure it on the VIN then take all you papers and the fee to register it. if you have imported it you will also need to get the OK from HMRC

Off the phone today to the dvla, just write over 10 yrs old on the form. I’m registering a 1980 mini that was exported to Northern Ireland in 2003 from England but then never registered with the dvni in Northern Ireland. A few yrs ago the dvni was merged with the dvla in Swansea. I’ve had to complete a paper based NOVA declaration and now complete a v55. Talk about a hassle. No mater who I spoke to I couldn’t convince them that the car never actually left the uk, but have to conform and follow ze rules to get my car registered! Hopefully get my v5c before the end of the months
