Thanks Ben. At the moment I'm waiting for some roof bars so I can flip it on it's roof as the boot floor is not sitting right as yet.

The car is now on roof bars and upside down. The temporary check fit of the rear subframe is much better now. I still have another problem. When you fit the boot floor the rear seat section does not align itself to the spot weld position on the side of the rear bins. I have to force both sides up (or down in my inverted case) about half an inch to re-estblish the original postition of the old boot floor seat pan. Is this normal as I see the restriction being the over and under of the heel board and rear seatback/firewall/bulkhead?

The bootfloor should pull down tight to the heelboard and line up with the companion bins in the original position.

You usually have to push the bottom of the rear bulkhead back in order to make it ait tightly to the floor.

I'm saying all of this but it's impossible to say what should be where without seeing it.

feel free to pm me pictures of your mock up and I'll try and see what needs to be where.

Cheers

Ben

I've flipped the image so you can see it the right way up. You can see the remains of the spot welds that I'm trying to line up to with the seat base. I can force it down but I don't think I should.
The other photo shows the rub points which don't allow the floor to move closer to the heel board. It's about 5mm to go to have the right measurement from heel board to rear sub mount holes.

Think I've sorted it now. The arrowed picture was not the main problem; it was where the firewall met the floor, it was too high/low. So I pushed it forward a little and bent over the flange bit. the floor seems to go in as far as needed. The distance from the seat front to main floor crossmember is the same as my other mini. I just need to encourage the seat base to meet the original place on the bins. I'll use hex self drill tappers to pull it all together. Had a little cry when I realised I had to buy the full width hinge panel section. Doreen at m-machine sympathised as she took my card details.
