Im currently on the look out for a Mini Cooper & have come across one for sale at Paul Higgs cars.
As they are 180 miles from me I was wondering if anyone else has used them to purchase a car or nows of them.

I picked mine up from him a year ago. Very happy with my car. No issues, and I felt I paid a fair price.

However, I also googled him, found some good and some bad comments. I did my research, checked the car out and knew what I was buying.

Happy customers don't usually take the time to write good reviews on forums, unhappy ones do. You could say unhappy customer reviews vs the number of cars he shifts suggests he can't be that bad.

Oh, and never trust any car sales person. Do your own inspection. Regardless as to who they are, their job is to sell cars.

Was the Cooper Sport even a model?

Also shouldn't a genuine Cooper have a Cooper steering wheel and not a Mini emblem steering wheel?

Certainly was a model, as for the differences I'm unsure

Yes I see now, GC Mini's have quite a few of them in stock, looking at some other similar models they all appear the same as the OP's car.

Perhaps the cooper emblem wheel wasn't available at end of production or something?

Spec-wise they look identical to the limited run Cooper Sport 500, I'd bet the only difference between the two is a certificate.

I also have a look at several on line for sale & the steering wheel badge does vary between the Mini badge & the Cooper badge.

Just make sure you're willing to travel to get the Best Buy. Finding something very local to you often leads to buying something under parr as it's convenient etc

Wouldn't be surprised if they were just slapping on whatever was left lying around as production was ending.

I believe the last Mini Cooper Sport had a silver roof and mirrors (previously white), alloy effect (rather than walnut) dash, silver and black leather trim and also had the green Mini wheel centres and steering wheel centre rather than the earlier cars Cooper laurels.
