fuel tank had a few leaks

i fixed them and then the ring around the fuel level started to leak

and so i welded that and now the fuel level leaks out of the connector panel, so

thats just done for it

im thinking about just straight swapping to the honda tank altogether and forget this pos mini tank idea

im alittle upset right now

i wasted alot of time on that tank

i could just straight weld up the stock mini fuel level sender hole and try and find a aftermarket level that mounts to the top

On my G13B I used a standard mini tank and fitted the complete panel from the Suzuki tank into the top - used it for years but although it did not show any signs of leaking it did make the boot smell of gas if it was really full.

A SPI tank came up for peanuts - so I'm using that now with an upgraded pump - it has the hole in the top of the tank already.

Sender unit wise - I just swapped the Suzuki sender across to the the back of the mini fitting - you get a OEM seal and the loom specific sender that way.

yeha I had a mpi tank with a Honda fuel pump and the Honda fuel level sender as well

just too many small holes in this tank

so I'm going to run the stock Honda tank for now

and re-visit the mpi tank in a few months, give me time to stop be upset with it and have the car running and the Honda tank will give me time

to work out all the pin holes in the mpi tank

I plan to have the car running on the Honda tank this weekend

i got the car running again, now with the honda tank, fits into my boot with the mod floor i did a few years back

its raining today here

and i wanted to start pulling the exhaust off the del slow but im not working in the rain

it can wait a few days

i hope it clears up tomorrow and i'll knock it out after work

i plan to install the cat, and then the cherry bomb muffler, 90deg bend and have the pipe come out the side in front of the right rear wheel

thats plan right now so i'll see how this works out when it comes time to measuring everything out

found a non-vented fuel cap with a pair of keys in it

got the exhaust off of the del slow chassis today and cut it up

and had to go buy some adapters for the stock pipe to cherry bomb muffler

tomorrow im going to bolt it together and start measuring some stuff

hope to have the exhaust built before the end of the year

built part of the exhaust today

moved the cat from its stock location to 12inches rear ward, and used 2inch pipe off of the y-pipe to cat

and then 3inches of 1-7/8's pipe and adapted it up to 2.25, and used a 2.5 inch inlet/out cherry bomb

and thats as far as i got on the exhaust today

i plan on making the exhaust come out at the right rear behind the back wheel

If you're moving the cat so far away from the engine as you still confident it will get hot enough to work?
