pulled this head gasket out today

 

only thing I can see wrong was the holes for the dowel pins fit loose, it still had 180-185psi compression, but it was burning a small amount of coolant

 

the new gasket fit so much nice, so I will see how it runs tomorrow

 

I did check the head and block surface and it was flat

 

I can see still the P28 markings and arrows on the top of the pistons, but it did have alittle build up, but I think it should be fine ones its running without coolant getting to the pistons

got the head tq down to its spec

 

 

not much more work let to get it running again

 

I will probably finish it up tomorrow, as long as its not to cold in my garage
