Managed to get some time this afternoon to install it. I had borrowed the BSP tap from a friend and thought I'd take a pic of it, not because I need to show you what a tap looks like, just what this tap looks like. I know its had some use and was obviously manufactured during the war.

Anyway having plumbed it all in I thought the best way to try it was a run through to Minispares at York for a couple of bits. It took about 90mins for the round trip and when I got back I felt the outside of the condenser and even though its close to the exhaust manifold it wasn't very hot at all.

I don't know what It would be like after a longer run on a much hotter day but at the moment I pleased with the result, and no oil on the rocker cover. :proud:

I've finally got round to making my open to atmosphere crank case breather/oil separator for my rocker cover.
25 mile fast drive last night and no oil around the filler cap, so happy so far.
Made a 1/2" union out of 22mm brass hex bar, drilled and tapped the rocker cover 1/2"unf inline with the rocker post & screwed in the union with a fibre washer. Turned an alloy cylinder to accept the wire gauze from an mg metro oil filler cap and and made a lid with O ring seal which is attached to the cylinder with 3 m3 bolts, drilled and tapped the cylinder 1/2" unf to fit the brass union, drilled six 4.5mm breather holes around the circumference.
So far so good, no oil around filler cap or breather.

It looks a nice solution and looks well made. I found with mine it was ok on a short journey but if I was driving it hard and using 6 to 7000+ revs I got a little oil mist round the breather.

I fixed this by running a separate pipe to the air filter. It doesn't create much vacuum due to the KN filter balancing any excess therefore it shouldn't affect the emissions.

Good to hear you've got yours working well.
Mine had a few bursts of 7500 rpm during that 25 mile test drive but not up 8500 limit yet, only time will tell.....
