You don't need Lsd. I think the only way is count the teeth apart from driving it. And moly diff pin should be fine is in mine. However go for 4 pin if you want

The only real way of finding out what's inside the engine is by stripping it, these engines in original form are getting scarce but then again you might be lucky and have a standard untouched engine.

If you do a bit of digging across the internet 'Classic mini engine number' etc. you might come across a site that gives you the full spec of your engine.

Hope this helps

I think I'd go with one of these cams with 1.5 roller rockers and a 3.44 diff.

nope you dont want 1:1.5 rockers

so you will be going for a full rebuild then? forget what you have and pick a new short motor and head to suit.

so what is your budget for the power unit less gearbox?

It's not so much of a budget issue.. obviously the cheaper the better but needs to be done correctly. and not cut corners.

and it's more about getting the right spec   if a good torquey engine is going to cost 2k then that's what i will spend

what i don't want to do is spend money on modifications that won't make much difference or are just silly money.

i want to keep NA no turbo   and happy at 1275 for now.
