Have you finished your 25 yet?

It's missing the front panel body number just in front of the radiator and no sign of it being removed, hence me thinking the panel has been replaced...
Have you finished your 25 yet?
Ill have a closer look tomorrow.
25 is well and truly...unfinished.
Not sure what ill do with that yet

Looks like a straight forward job for you! all the usual problems with Rover Minis
of the era, am guessing your biggest challenge will be time to do it.
Goodluck.

Time is definitely an issue.
It will sit untouched for a couple of months I would have thought and then ill try and get it stripped before Christmas.
This isn't going to be a quick project

Does it stil have the VIN stamped on the scuttle? Could you take a picture of it? (covering up most of the numbers obviously) Mine was replaced and am looking to put the correct number back, but don't know what the original looked like.

wow that is very pink,
looks like there is plenty of welding to do there, what are the floor pans like? is it really rotten or is it just the other panels?

It will need the following
Door skins and frame repairs
Complete floor and outer sills
Heelboard
Door steps
Quarter panels
Rear panel
Rear valance and closers
Boot floor
Wings
Front panel
A panels
Bonnet
Scuttle
Bootlid
Surprisingly, the bulkhead is great unlike most MPI minis and the toe board and flitch panels look quite tidy

No need to cover any numbers, there is so much paint on it that you can't make them out anyway.
I shall obviously clean that back but for now, you can have a photo to show you where it should go

I reckon there is a number lurking under there Ben. The good thing is apart from the awful colour its unmolested so what you see is what you get.
Nice project for you i feel.

Cheers Neil.
I have had a quick look over it this morning and removed the parts that were stowed inside and I can't find any evidence of any replacement panels or and welding in the past.
It does look bad but it wants no more than most Mini's, the rust is just worse on each panel.
I can't decide if it's had a front panel or not. the seams look original but it has too many spot light holes and the body number is missing.
Cheers
Ben
