Quite like the look with no front bumper, can't decide whether to take it off or not though.

Had half an hour this evening, so did a little investigating. Took the wheels off, to find Gaz dampers and hilos-nice. Needs new brake discs and a good clean up all round, but so far 'scruffy but solid' is proving fairly accurate. Ideas on cleaning headlinings? Or is this one too far gone?
Huh. Looks like I can embed photos from my laptop- I'll do that tomorrow.
Edit: Fixed
Looks like you may have bent the tie bar with your jack.
Maybe best to jack it under the centre of the subframe where the bottom arm fits.

Got a coat of paint onto the engine bay today, after a good sand and wire brush. Next is painting the subframe, then the engine will go in. Please ignore the shocking wiring; it won't last long!

Thanks, its lovely having something to tinker with that doesnt have to take me to work the next day. Build is probably a strong term; Im just pissing about compared to some others!

Engine in, again...
Splitter! Looks great in my opinion, should have thought about getting a jack underneath though. Really happy with the ride height here, about perfect I reckon.
Bit of retro modding on my metro air box.
New brake disc, calliper, balljoint, and adjustable bottom arm and tierod with offset bushes.
Manky old Rokee dash retrimmed in leatherette and test fitted.
Next job is to finish the brakes and suspension, fit adjustable rear camber brackets and then wire it up.

Splitter looks cool - haven't seen one on a Hornet before.
