Anyone Know What Jointing Compound This Is?

Does anyone know what jointing compound they used in production, or the equivalant now.

 

It's a none setting compound even after 40 years it is still soft, looks bit like chewing gum and used in a few different place(thicker than hylomar stuff), like here on the photo below it was used on the petrol neck cowl assembly on the estate.

That looks like 'body caulking'.
Still available if you google '3m body caulking strips.
It's over paintable, I've always used it in body seams between wings and scuttle and front panels and between seem finishing covers and roof gutter.

Caulking or maybe bedding sealant. Hard to tell what they used but both would work

Bedding's commonly used for sealing windows in caravans, it never dries, allowing movement

Looks like wrigleys double mint to me could be spearmint difficult to tell from the pics.

As above 3m sells it, I bought a box from the morelli group as it was about £10 for 10 strips or £25 for 60.

Is this the same type of stuff that goes between door and window winder mechanism and also on front firewall panel in centre?
