Hi guys, hope this is in the right place.I'm about to buy a new bulkhead for my '72 Mini 1000 but I'm not sure on the correct shape of the hole. This is what I've got currently (in what I'm sure is the original bulkhead)...

Problem is, I'm yet to see another car with this shape hole, they seem to all be the (earlier?) circle holes with 1 right angle like this,

Or complete oval holes with no right angle. Anyone shed any light on this?

My old 72 had the same elongated hole you've both shown, with a fibreboard cover.

Out of interest, why do you want to change it? Is it completely shot through with rust and not repairable?

It is correct for your year of car. The mk1 and mk2 had the smaller hole. This changed to the larger one for the early mk3.
