I'm using a 3HP, 200L, 10Bar compressor. I've tweaked it a little and it's now putting out 9.0 CFM (actual measured FAD), so I'm now starting think an air fed mask might be a possibility.

For what I can see, masks need anywhere from 5.5 to 7.0 CFM. Once I pull the trigger though, I'll be draining the 200L tank; I'm starting at 10Bar, but what's a typical minimum tank pressure before the mask's safety whistle goes off?

I'm looking at HVLP / LVLP guns in the 7.5 to 10 CFM range, so I'm hoping I'll be able to put down a decent amount of paint quickly. Depending on both the mask and gun that I choose, I'm calculating anywhere from 5 to 12 minutes before I've run out of air. That does sound like plenty to me, but roughly how much could I paint in 5 or 12 min?

It's early planning stage now, so all ideas, comments, suggestions greatly appreciated  :-)

I have a 100 litre 3hp compressor and only use a devilbiss sri pro gun that uses approx 3cfm, with this and the mask my compressor runs approx 50% of the time, I have my wall regulator set at 70 psi but have 22mm pipe from compressor then 8mm pipe from regulator to waist belt. To help the compressor I loved the cut off pressure to 8 bar, this means it cuts in about 6 bar and at this I have never had the emergency whistle blow.
I would say though the compressor working this hard does get hot so you need to be sure you have water traps in line.
I doubt you will run a 10cfm gun with the mask

I've not looked at the smaller guns yet - What needle have you got in the SRi Pro? Do you think you could cover a mini roof with it?

I have the 1.2 setup and other than being a small pot which can be got round by using disposable cups it's good enough to paint the full car which is what I did, only thing due to demands on compressor I did it in sections between the seam strips and painted doors, bonnet and boot separate, this suited me as it kept overspray to a minimum,
I have also used the gun with high build primer and other than having a bit of orange peel that was flatted anyway it was fine.
