and here is the start of the confusion. gas filled and gas pressurized.

 

Not the same.

 

 

No they are not.

 

What I was getting at in my post above is that Gas Pressure types are not necessarily better. Those I have made are Gas Filled only.

It mostly has been the same. This is the first such anomaly that I have seen. I have had many dampers in a variety of cars over the years. I don't see how you can have them gas filled but with no pressure. Were that so, there would actually be suction when they were fully extended.

So I am now totally confused. Apologies to The OP for adding more confusion.

No worries Tiger, I'm confused as well!

Anyway, took the car a short drive (circa 8 miles) its a lot better, I have the front set around 7 clicks, rear at 10!

I will see my friend later tonight to have a drive, to see if there genuinely is a difference

Update, took this a drive, goes well, just need to find a happy medium now :D
