To be honest the two outlet Metro manifold is as good as it gets as a factory part. It is for all intents and purposes an L.C.B. with two downpipes, and was used in the relaunched Mini Coopers in the 1990's. You can still get the downpipes from the usual parts suppliers in the UK.
I have no idea what an RD silencer/resonator/muffler would be, but I do remember fitting the front section of a Metro exhaust including the first silencer on a Mini in the past (needs must/Junkyard parts...........).
Is it worth changing to a fabricated L.C.B. ?? Well that depends on a number of things - firstly any legal implications in your territory regarding modifications.
Secondly serviceability of the existing parts vs price and availability of the new ones.
Finally any perceived "improvement", be that visual (looks nice !!), visceral (I've got a "x-brand" LCB on it), audible (sounds nice) or measurable (performance/economy improvements).
