Hi all.

I'm looking to buy a new set of wheels and just wanted to know if you have purchased wheels from JBW and if you were happy with the service etc. Thanks.

I didn't find the service good. My wheel came with paint missing which they dealt with ok and refunded me a bit of money so I could sort it.
But, I have mambas and I don't like the wheel nuts, they are poor quality and not up to the job. I also had to put longer studs in on the front to have a safe amount of threads and for the nuts to not damage every time they were tightened (50nm). I had a problem at one of the shows when I first got them and the jbw man was rude and refused to swap me a wheel nut to make my car safe to drive home. Very loud arragant man trying to make me look small 'never had this problem before, must be you'!

your gonna get loads of people come on and say how they have had wheels from these guys and never had a problem.

but i have seen the way these guys store their stock and dealt with them face to face.

lets just say never again, i don't even look at their stand at shows, just walk straight past.

used to be known as midland wheels supplies, in fact both names are on the side of their van. search for that name and see what you find !!!

I bought wheels from them years ago, one was so buckled that the tyre fitter had to put a ton of weights (literally!) in one spot on the wheel, MWS weren't interested in the slightest, said it must have been something I'd done to it (wheels had never even touched a car at that point)...

I've avoided like the plague ever since and advise you do, too.

I bought a set from them middle of last year, didn't have a problem at all. Delivered within 5 days of placing the order and so far they are still mint.

I'm glad I didn't know JBW were supposed to have any sort of a bad reputation! :shades:

If it helps, my story is I ordered a set of GB alloys and Nankang winter tyres in January. The guy was fine on the phone. We had a deal on a fifth, spare wheel and the set arrived promptly [36 hours iirc] nicely packaged with cardboard, properly balanced and with a set of nuts and since the tyres were handed, with the labels left on the lefts and removed from the rights - obviously for their own storage benefit too.

I have no complaints and would use them again from my experience

If you decide to buy from JBW check their Ebay store before you buy direct as they sometimes have a Best Offer option on their wheels.I've had a couple of good deals doing this.

Forgot to add, the service was very good, being delivered within 48 hours, and the quality of the wheels themselves was also very good, one set on my daily driver for over 10 months now and still clean up well with no paint or lacquer issues so no complaints from me.

I bought a set of wheels with AO48R tyres, three were medium compound and one was soft compound, I didn't realise they had done this at the time. When I did realise they point blank refused to anything about it saying it was my fault for not noticing, the tyres were unused and not been on the car

Never again

I think they are good I have some 12x6s but if you have them from new I would recommend putting some more high grade lacquer over them before rubber is fitted
