After completing my Micra powered clubman last year with a standard cga3, I've decided to build a more track base setup around the same engine, to replace my 7 port a series in my track day car.

But this time, I'm pushing the little engine to the limits

I'm hoping to break the 150bhp mark. The engine is currently 1/2 built. Spec is

CNC ported cylinder head
3 angle seats
Head skim
12-1 CR
Throttle bodies & 8 injectors
290deg Cams
Custom valve springs
30mm buckets
Forged omega pistons
Steel con Rods
Fully balanced asssembly
Helix lightweight steel flywheel
Helix paddle clutch
Gripper LSD
998 close ratio box with 4.47 Final Drive.

Every one has different opinions but why don't you just go with something that has more power as a standard lump? Seems a lot of effort to achieve not a lot of bhp

Im liking how this is going to turn out already. But I do have to say I'm disappointed you upstaging everyone again, just when I thought my engine bay was getting all tidy you go and do this! :)

To be fair I'm sticking with the micra engine, purely because I want the overall weight of the car to be sub 500kg. Everybody can fit a B16 or 20XE, but they are very heavy and would upset the car balance. I've gone to great length to reduce overall car weight, and the rear end is particularly light, so the lightest engine possible is the plan.

I honestly believe that 150bhp is more than enough bhp for a road / trackday mini and 300 bhp per tonne will compete with most challenges.
