Well this is virtually complete now.
All that remains to do on the interior is fit the passenger side door card.
All that's needed now are a few odd clips here and there which I have ordered as well as a new cowling for the steering column shroud to replace the brittle old one which just crumbled when I began fitting it.
Then the tracking needs setting up, the waxoiling needs finishing and then MOT.
The hard top has been flatted and polished, reassembled and is ready to fit
Cheers

I like it on those wheels- they're very 'period' and make a nice change on a midget from minilites or rostyles
If those wheels were restored it'd look well on them
Hi Ben
could you PM or email me and let me know how much it would cost to get the wheels restored as they are the original and as other have commented very period, I think they were only made for a couple of years 70-71
cheers

Sorry about the lack of updates lately.
Things were slowed up by an annoying electrical issue which we ended up chasing and everytime we thought we had it sussed and the problem went away, it would return later that day.
That's all sorted out now but then I needed to take some time off at short notice which delayed the completion again. I have been doing work to the car but time has been tight and therefore, I didn't really take any photos.
Well now it's almost finished. Its going to be tuned up on Monday and then most likely MOT'd the same day or the next day.
There is the grille to re-fit once it's been painted and then it's going to need valeting.
After that, the waterless prep fluid need to be drained out and replaced with waterless coolant and then it will need to be road tested.
Here are some pictures of the car as it stands now.
The wheels have not been refurbished after all. As you can see, they do actually clean up really well.
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben
Another great restoration the Midget looks amazing, Darren must be well pleased with the outcome?
What work have you got to do on the Mk 2 Cooper S and is it still OK to drop my Mini in next week ready for its repairs?

Cheers

Hi John,
Are you driving your mini back when you collect it or trailering it home?

Hi Carl
My mini is with Ben to have some accident damage repairs carried out, the damage was caused while it was parked and the culprit didn't leave there details, so this is being carried out under my insurance. The insurance works include replacing the passenger door and A panel, repairing passenger wing, windscreen scuttle on both sides and painting as required.
Ben is also going to carry out some other works outside of the insurance works theses are:-
Repairing the holes where the arches have been removed and then respraying the sides.
Replacing the Front screen (existing screen is going cloudy in the corners)
Fitting new Chrome side trims (I have attempted it myself and failed so I am leaving it to the expert).
I dropped it off this morning and will be driving it back once Ben has worked his magic on it.
