Whilst working in the Huddersfield area today i decided to visit Huddersfield spares to purchase four 165/70/10 Yokohama A008s.

 Having visited both Minispares and Minisport in the past i thought i may be in for a shock....and, what a nice shock it was, the shop is oozing with every part needed and the collection of minis and old parts on display inside is to drool over ( i want the Mk2 cooper S !!!! ). I presume it was the owner that served me, he was really friendly and helpful and knowledgeable and quite prepared to talk minis for ages.

I paid £188.00 for the four tyres which i thought was a good price and he does great deals on wheel/tyre packages, I will certainly be using them again and would recommend to any of you guys/gals to pop in and have a look if you are in Huddersfield or nearby.

 My first impressions are it is a really nice shop with very friendly staff and atmosphere.

I will never use Huddersfield again and neither do our club of 40 he has ripped so many people off it's scary please please people do not use him,it's a shame he's on my doorstep minispares all day long

Huddersfield have done a few good deals for me in the past, mainly on delivery though, however a discounted price is a good price for recommendations etc.....

I've never had any problems with them, always had every part I needed and at an average price, in fact for somethings theyre the cheapest place and they're always friendly.

I would not trust Andy as far as I could throw him.

I would only buy something that was in my hand.

I have known him for years and also ran his stall for him when he first started.

As to the business it seems they have issues with online orders.

Oh quite a bit of my car came from him.

Still not been to see his 'shop".

As couple have already said, They are always high at top my list contacts for parts.

 

Even over the phone when im talking to usually a lady in particular who is very friendly and chatty. Plus i dont even have to mention next day delivery as it usually comes following day 97% time. If i lived closer id happily pop in all time as i hear there is loads stuff on display.

Spoken to Carrie a few times from there. Mainly over the disgust of them taking my money for wheels that weren't in stock. A poor communication battle of lies and dust screens for them to keep my money whilst they sourced wheels began. I ended up getting them 9 months later. Their parts are also of the cheap quality brands. They do tires and wheel packages cheap as they buy in bulk.

I've been saying all of the above since joining this site,i am a tradesman your name is everythinghuddersfield have a bad name in these parts.he threatened me when I stood out side his premises with the goods he sold me when he would not take them back for weeks stopping people and explaining what had happened much to his distaste

Only used them a couple times, I was pleased with service as they found a Dunlop SP9000 for me and sent out in a flash :)

Oh well, just read the replies and i do understand peoples gripes, i have had the same problems over the years with the two big minispares outlets but,  Huddersfield spares can,t be knocked on my experience with them yesterday so i only have good things to say about them..... for now.

But it is still worth a look in their shop regardless.

Never used them myself, I've heard good and bad, kinda off putting hearing all the bad but I'm still gonna give them a shot in the new future, see how things go, always hear bad things about every company, never the good

I've had good and bad experiences from most companies. P&L, Huddersfield, Minispares, Minisport, Minispeed (closed, I know), Somerfield, M&M, Mini Classics. It's not confined to one company. P&L and Huddrdsfield are handy for me because they are both local and if I need a part urgently, or if the postage is going to cost me a large fortune, then they are both cheaper again. It's swings and roundabouts.

Never had any probs with Huddersfield Spares,and the girls on the phone GREAT

Never had a problem with them, sent it out same day arrived on time too!
