Thanks Martin, have not had time to look for the magazine! The Classic Car and Mini associated Press were well represented
at Bingley Hall, also some of the YouTube guys paid some interest as well.
The main reason that I drive the car to as many Mini and Classic Car shows! is to let it be seen, I personally am not a fan of
Trailer Queens and Garage Princesses.
We are planning to be out and about at shows this year, had a few invites already.

Frank.......just noticed 'The Count' and Contessa also feature in the April 2019 Mini Magazine (page 29) see scan below. Also says you now know the whereabouts of four more?

Nice to see The Contessa in the latest British Mini Club mag,
I enjoy driving it and showing it, more in local shows at the moment, weather permitting
next time out for it will be Chateau Impney.
as a bit of interest got challenged at a local show by a Retired ex Traffic Cop re Number Plates
being illegal ???

The retired Traffic Cop is not up to date on latest regs.....
DVLA has since 2015 allowed all Historic Tax class cars (40 year rolling) to display black silver plates if they wish:-
Quote from page 11 of latest INF104 document:-
https://www.gov.uk/g...d-number-plates
Traditional number plates for vehicles made before 1 January 1973. Vehicles made before 1 January 1973 may display traditional ‘black and white’ number plates (for example, white, silver or grey characters on a black plate). From April 2019 vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1979 are also able to display traditional ‘black and white’ number plates.
You must:
• have applied to DVLA
• be registered within the ‘historic vehicles’ tax class.
The 40-year exemption date rolls forward automatically each year on 1 April."

Thanks Martin! I did have a quite heated conversation with him and made him aware of the facts you quote,
and told him to check up on it.
It may have been the case that he had something against Minis!! This Morgan was parked next to me,

Hi Sid, I think you read through the last 19 pages! it will become apparent that The Contessa has been restored,
and has been on the road for just short of 2years in that time I have done going on for 7,000mls in it.
We have attended lots of shows with it, some weeks over this summer no less than 4 a week.
leading the parade up the hill at Chateau Impeny one of the memorable weekends,
winning the Best Mini and overall Pride of ownership at Bradford Classic Show,
nice Friday night out at Fluer De Lets in Wakefield to name but a few, glad to hear you are getting some fun
from your Tilling Coachbuilt also quite a rare car (Idid get in touch with you earlier in the year about it)
I know a guy in the North East os Scotland that is restoring a Tilling, like the one that was featured in
Motor Magazine along with a Wood&Picket and a Contessa.
I am always on the hunt for the existence of another Contessa or other bits of the history of mine, I was told
at a local show a couple of weeks ago that my Contessa was built to go to a show in London! still trying to
have that authenticated. I will check out the Tilling De Ville site, as you say there are not many Coachbuilt Minis
on here.

Congratulations Frank! The car is still looking great.
As an aside, does anyone on here own that GT with the BBC TV logo on it? Looks rally prepared. Never seen that car before - looks great.

To the best of my knowledge? it is a Works built car, it and a few others were in the Special mini display at Chateu Impeny
I do know the guy that owns the CCC Clubman.
