It looks great! Hopefully it will get a feature in a magazine.

Looks really really good Frank. Good luck with the MOT today. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Nice touch taking it to let the previous owners see it.

How did the MOT go Frank?
Thanks for the interest it now has an MOT! I hate having to admit this but it did
get a refusal at the first attempt!!!! a bit of an oversight on my part, for whatever reason I
never checked the dipped beam, beam pattern, the PO had purchased new headlamp units
for it they were for a lefthand drive so the kick up on them was wrong
had to do a bit of chasing about in the snow on Wed afternoon trying to find a couple of
headlamps without side lamp holder holes, local ! got them and fitted ready for retest on
the Thursday.
I am to say the least a bit annoyed with myself over it! having been an MOT tester a few yrs
ago, and in my last job before retiring had a 97% score on the traffic light system for HGV
VOSA passes and roadside checks .
On the plus side now all road legal and ready for its trip to Bingley Hall, and if the weather
isn't to bad next week give it a run out and see the original owner of it.
Thanks to the rest of the folks for their comments.

Nice one. None of us are perfect mate, if mine fails on a couple of headlamps I'd be dead happy.
If I'm brave I'll come say hello at Bingley

Is it easy to align headlights at home? That and the emissions are the only things I can't check for on my MPI when I eventually get it finished...

Lots of instructions on Google

As GraemeC says no problem check alignment at home, remember with the MPI
to check with height adjusters at there highest position (if they are still fitted)
some MOT testers will allow you to adjust them, I certainly did ! back in the day
even at the VOSA testing stations we used to take a screw driver to adjust if
required,
This is why I am annoyed with myself for not checking the dip orientation

As the Countess! is now all finished for the moment, Mot taxed ect, just a few bits of interest
had to PAY for 6mths road tax, (will get a refund) as the car was 40yrs old on 7/01/2018
I did think all I had to do was go to PO and get Historic Vehicle Tax however I had not taken in
to account the tax year starts 05April I thought that was only from Income Tax
So as the build date as per Heritage Certificate is 1976 so had to send everything to DVLA,
I have however put some miles on it on the better days, first place to go with it was Meltham,
still in West Yorks, to let the elderly gent whom had owned it for most of its life,
as can be seen from the look on his face he was impressed, the plan is when the warmer weather
comes along to take him out for a run in it, + he has promised me the original reg no as was supplied
with the car when it was built by Oyler,
I took it for a run along the motorway up to Minispares North today, to pick up some (just in case) spares,
Quite interesting, first time on the M62 in a Classic mini, HaHa!
brought back memories of back in the day, remember sitting in the queue at the old Antwerp tunnel in those
days out of the trucks had front mounted exhausts and 3+" pipe exiting at window height
in the days before AddBlue and emission controls.
Next outing Bingley Hall this weekend .
Thanks for looking and comments.
