Oh dear me. Let me get this straight you are saying that the water got in while the rocker cover was off?
i would be pulling the engine.

engine ran for about 4 mins. Water definitely got on via the rockersI’d start by taking off the head and checking the head gasket. It might have leaked between the coolant and oil passages and not between the cylinders.
How long did it run with the milkshake in the engine? It should clear up pretty well after an oil change if it’s not adding more water in..

How long did you run it for with the water in it ?
Idled on the drive for 2 mins then drove round the block (2mins)
You might be lucky.
Drain the Oil (which you have), then get some Diesel Engine Oil, may as well get 10 litres.
Change the Filter (which I know you have), fill as normal with the Diesel Oil, run it until normal operating temp, drive it gentle, but avoid loading it.
Dump the Oil, Change the Filter and repeat that above.
If in the second round, it comes out fairly clear, refill with your normal oil, change the filter go for a run, say 30 - 50 miles, again, avoid loading it, just drive 'normally'. Ideally, for this to have the best effect, you want to have the Crankcase Breathers set up as per factory, including a Vented Cap, even if temporarily.
I'm inclined to suggest a further Oil and Filter Change again at this point if everything seems and sounds normal. Then you should be right.

OK, will give that a try. 2 things - Why diesel oil ? and could having milkshake make it run badly ( hunting around, poor ignition on a couple of cylinders, even though getting a good spark)?

Diesel Engine Oil is very high in detergents.
While it will clean the inside of the engine, it;s not a good idea to use it for medium or long periods in our engines. It's low in ZDDP (usually) and in any case, the detergents in it are usually good enough to wash the ZDDP coating that you'd normally have built up on the Cam Followers.
Also, for this purpose, go for a lighter grade, a 10W30 or 10W40.
In regards to it's poor running - maybe. How is the crankcase breather hook up ?

Breather from fuel pump cover, rocker cover and flywheel cover going into a vented catch can

That won't work too well. You'll be getting mayo in the rocker cover for a long time to come.
It really needs to be via a PCV to the Inlet Manifold (maybe with a non-return valve?) or Air Inlet.
How are other boosted engine done ? I've not looked too closely at them.

Sorry, you know what, I'm talking rubbish. Forgot, the catcher vents to the intake for the supercharger now. Changed it 6 months ago!Breather from fuel pump cover, rocker cover and flywheel cover going into a vented catch canDiesel Engine Oil is very high in detergents.
