look like a taper seat yours should be a radii (use bluetac to get a profile) and i think they would bottom out before clamping the wheel.

What would I do after using the bluetac/plastacine though. Don't understand what could do after that

it allows easier 'identification of the wheel seat shape. radii or taper.

Been on the phone jbw today and to be honest they won't be getting any customer awards anytime soon. They say I should have used 60deg tapered and they must have enlarged due to not seating properly. All I can say is they definitely centralised when tightening and I can't see how a tapered one would be better than a radial type. As Graham said earlier they would hit the flange before tightening the wheel. Jbw said it just Nips up against it! Sounds like b####x to me. But hey what can you do.
Unfortunately I have no choice but to buy another wheel from them and they won't give any discount. Brilliant

Well I am always the first to put my hand up when wrong. I happen to have a full set of 60 deg tapered, so thought I would spray them white to mark where the contact point is including the end to see if they bottom out. Well well low and behold. They look fine on the tapered nuts. What a dick! I take it all back.
