I think the manual specifies .003" end float, but from what I've been told you need a little bit more, like .004 to .006".

I ended up using the old thrusts on one side and a new over sized set on the other as two new ones wouldn't go in. Still had to take a couple of thou off by rubbing the back of the thrust on emery placed on a flat surface - you tend to loose the skin off your finger tips too I measured the thickness first, decided how much to take off and rubbed them down, measuring with a micrometer regularly so the thickness was reduced evenly across the area of the thrusts.
