K11 Cg10 In Round Nose Mini.

So with that out of the way.
I'm looking at fitting a CG10 into my 1990 Mayfair. I want to cut down on the electrics, so I want bike carbs, Dizzy, and 1.3 cams.
Firstly- Where can I get an exhaust manifold to fit onto an RC40?
Secondly- is there anywhere to get an inlet manifold made up? I can't do it.
Thirdly- To keep noise down, is there an air filter box that will fit?
Fourthly- I've got 10 inch wheels, is this going to be a problem with 5 speed box? Am I going to have to do something with the final drive? If so is there anywhere I can get that done?
Finally- Any idea how much power this would produce?

Fusion fabrication for the manifold's.
there's probably an air box out there that can be made to fit, best bet is to get the engine etc in the car then measure up the space you have and pop to the scrappy.
As for the gear box if you get a 98-00 engine you can fit the larger 1.3 box which will give you a better FD
As for power properly set up I'd imagine a solid 80bhp

Nice choice, nothing wrong with the 998. I nearly went down that route but changed for the CG13 at the last minute.
Fusion manifolds are brill.
I have their inlet plenum. It fits great and looks amazing.
I made my own exhaust manifold out of a Mk1 MGF tubular manifold and a flange plate from danST engineering.

I agree 80bhp is possible and with a 5 speed box it would give most 1275cc a series a run for there money.
My advise would be 998cc 98-00 gearbox with a 3.95 FD from the cg13de gearbox or maybe a 3.789 from a CD17 gearbox. Makes best of all 5 gears.
1.3 cams (I've got a spare set if need be)
Stick with the lighter 998 flywheel
Fusion for manifolds. Maybe smaller bore than the current 1.3 versions.
I'd definitely consider fuel injection though. Not that many wires and actually a lot easier to setup and map. Maybe mircasquirt, 36-1 trigger wheel etc.

I would have thought carbs would be easier, but hey.
Carb tuning is a dying art, so finding someone with the knowledge could prove tricky these days. certainly just bolting the carbs on is easier than fuel-injection, it's the setting up that is harder.

sadly not, a modified manifold is required unless you cut a big hole in the bulkhead

I used the micra fuel injection with a custom inlet manifold, the wiring is not too bad, I did it myself but it took time and head scratching. It's running the standard ecu with nistune added which allows most / all of the benefits of an aftermarket ecu and you already have the wiring there and it's cheaper!Does the standard micra injection fit comfortably in a mini?
You will need a fuel pump, easiest is to get a mpi or spi tank (spi might need a better pump).
Fuel pipes I ran under the floor where the hydro lines were, but our aussie minis had a channel in the floor pans to accommodate them.
