Great work Ben, its good to see the holes (where the arches were removed) gone and the front windscreen scuttle repairs are superb.
Thanks

Thanks John.
It's going to look great once the chrome trims are run down the sides.

Looking fantastic. As said the orange looks great.
One question, why prime first then seam sealer rather than seam sealer first then primer?
Thanks in advance
Thanks for the compliment.
The sealing up is the last thing you want to do really. The primer goes over the repairs and once hardened needs to be flatted down even out any slight imperfections.
If I put the sealer on first, It might get in the way of the flatting process or be disturbed by the flatting.
If I get all of the primer flatted down and am happy with the finish, then the seam sealer is like the icing on the cake.
The primer is also an ideal substrate to apply the sealer to.
Hope that helps

Both quarter panels, both steps, both A panels, both wings, the front panel and scuttle. Oh and then new door.

I spent the morning flatting and polishing the paintwork and then re-hung the doors
And then stuck on the stripes and fitted the chrome sill/arch moldings.
And the the new windscreen and scuttle furniture
Just the front end and door to fit out now and it's done!

Looking good Ben
The Chrome trim really finishes it off and after my poor attempt at fitting it previously I am pleased I left it to the expert.
When is it booked in for its MOT and could you give me an idea of when it may be finished, I only ask because of childcare / half term and hospital trips for my daughter which may govern when I can pick it up.
I have just won a new cover for it on e-bay as I don't want the weather to spoil the good work you have carried out.
Many thanks

I'm not sure if I will get to do anything with it tomorrow but It will certainly be ready by the end of the week.
Do you want to make it next week? That way, you can pick whichever day suits you and it will definitely be ready to go.
If you want to make it this week, then I can probably commit to it being ready Thursday.
