Hi guys quick question. Vtec mini I have the setup spec from zcars but just wanted to see have many people used a different ride height setting and if so what we're the finds as I am getting the car setup for arches and paint in the next few weeks.
Also what size front and rear master cylinders are people using.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I has a massive issue with both the ride hight and brakes. the ride hight in the end it's different on every car I had sportspack arches and I ended up chopping all the way up to the fixings and all 4 corners as high as possible I almost brought new shockers but was assured by zcars they were right and it's all about setup. And the master cylinders I was supplied wilwood 0.75 cylinders for the wilwood bias pedal box with my kit but I just couldn't get the brakes to perform as they should so I came down to a 0.70 for front and 0.65 for the rear they got better but still weren't 100% when I sold it but other people have used two 0.75 and they have been perfect so it's just a case of trial and error I do have 2 brand new 0.75 cylinders for the wilwood pedal box if you need them get in touch

Appreciate the info bengreen55 thanks for tha.I do understand every car will have its differences and I suppose thats the beauty of owning one. I live in Ireland but thanks anyway for the offer of purchasing the master cylinders I'll have a measure up this week and see what route I'll take with brake setup.

I am running 100mm clearance flat floor and 2x 0.75" MC's.......

Brilliant thanks for the info cptkirk. How do you find the brake pedal feel in relation to the brake perfromance? ie is the pedal firm and is a lot of effort need to get themy working?

My pedal was rock hard with very little effort at the pads I went down to the 7 and 6.25 and the pedal felt a lot better the brakes passed mot with this set up but still felt very vague during driving but did get better as the brakes bedded in

I guess I should have added I am running Wilwoods front and rear, with the old sierra caliper as a stand alone handbrake caliper (will get a hydraulic fly off handbrake one day). I find it just fine, a fair amount of travel, not an instant rock hard hard pedal. I had to go the other way to Ben, I had 0.625's in mine but they went to the floor, I wonder if I ended up with a different pedal ratio to everyone else???

Intresting. as i have just bought a OBP pedal box. and I need some M.C.s  Stephen20mini. 

I expect the pedal to be a lot firmer than what you are use to as the mini uses a servo, and the pedal box dose not. I will take some time to get use to. the  0.75 M.C. should be able to apply enough pressure to the pads even with big willwood brakes, as many of use have on our Zcars.

I have a ratio of 6:1 with the OBP pedal box. Andy.
