It's MOT time for the last time on the clubby estate but i think i'll need to work on it a little first............
Good job I never throw anything out, should be part of an old door step panel on the shelf somewhere.

Love the look of the lower dash without the padding. Looks really good.

Happy new year everyone ( I know it's a bit late)
Next little job is to continue with the Bootlid conversion.
First up I had to clamp it in place.
Fit isn't great but it's easier than trying to fabricate you own Mk1 skin.
Just had to bash it in to place around the edges to get it somewhere near.
Before offering up the number plate holder to check for alignment.
Once happy I marked round it and chopped it out. I also painted the back of the panel before tacking in place
And then fully welded
Will clean that up and make it all pretty tomorrow hopefully.
Cheers for now.

Just a few pics from today's grind'athon.
Started off by grinding down the welds from the other day, also took the paint off.
And a bit off the back.......
Then i filled in the old number plate light holes
And ground them back
Next up, UPOL boot lid sculpture a la pimp my ride.

brilliant work and a great inspiration for those of us slogging away in the earlier stages to read and look at the photos!

I know it sounds cheesy but the help and support offered on here is second to none and if nothing else its a great visual reference.
