The middle of August isn't the best time to be selling a car, especially a classic - surely it is worth hanging on for another month or so.

Pass up an offer with actual finances involved and you may end up keeping it for much longer then another month. The middle of August isn't the best time to be selling a car, especially a classic - surely it is worth hanging on for another month or so.

For a largely original and very nice Mk 3 Cooper S with less than 60k miles it is not expensive - the biggest problem with it is the location. Few people in London and the south east knows Northumberland exists, let alone where it is. And I am not joking! A friend of mine is the Mk 3 S Registrar for a Mini club and someone asked him about this very car and where Northumberland was and also Norfolk!

If you're in the South East, Blyth is 330 miles away, so it's not that easy to pop up to view.
Northumberland is also quite sparsely populated, so potential buyers are further away.
I did my driving test in Blyth

I will keep hold of it for now, I'm in no rush, I ended up rejecting the dealer, it would be nice to pass it on to someone who will love it instead.

Don't sell it as you'll regret in years to come is my opinion. However, it's your choice and your mini. :)
