Anyone put this on their mini? Ordered a pair and I'm just wondering if they're any good & work.

Its a start, but no way near enough if you want a real silent Mini.

Fitting a set of aluminium inner wings will make a huge difference.

Not only will they make it hard for the dredded tinworm, to eat your front, but they also remove tyre / road noise BIG TIME.

JC T One, I went to the link you provided, do they make them for Minis? If so how much?

Fitting sound deadening to the underbonnet isn't IMHO not going to make a huge difference. You will abosrb some sound, but most of that sound is being transmitted from the engine bay into the air above the bonnet, not inside the cabin.

Thanks! I imagine shipping to the states would be about the same as the cost of the parts!

I've had under bonnet soundproofing in the past. Im not sure it helps much with the noise but it certainly makes the bonnet a lot more solid.

After recently stripping the interior out while I cracked on with some welding. As I just have the front seats and an old/tatty/falling apart front/rear carpet so its derivable. This lot under the carpets, behind the dash, behind the rear cards, seat bulkhead, etc really does make a big difference.

Another area that needs attention, if you want a real silent Mini, is the hollow crossmember in the bulkhead.

If you only cover above & under it, you will end up with a bare bulkhead facing your cabin = you can see it throu the holes, where the pedal & heat hose comes in.

As its a hollow / bare metal compartment, will it act as a "speaker" and transmit piston noise into your car, so make sure to cover it up (or fill it with foam dipped in waxoil).
