Looking good.

The marks in the paint on your 5th photo is dirt in the paint, you should be able to remove that by further flatting.

What paper are you using? (brand) as some are not that great so the 2000 issues could be the paper quality and not you.

The 'dirt' came out after polishing  :proud:

It's Indasa paper. The 1500 and 2000 were about £12 each (50 sheets I think)!!

Indasa should be fine.

Try using it without a block but do'n go up and down with you fingers, go side to side if that makes sense? Kind of like waving in a way

If you have used shampoo with wax in it you will have trouble re-coating the rubbed through areas, the area will need to be cleaned thoroughly before painting and remove all wax residue, if you don't remove the wax you will get what we call in the trade as fish eyes, very difficult to get rid of after.
