Everything done this morning was done in the lead up to this moment

So that was

Fill with Oil

Fill with coolant

Finish fuel lines and overflow

make up and fit clutch master to slave pipe

Add petrol

Then this afternoon was spent finishing building up the n/s hub

And then i adjusted the rear suspension and ten greased the ball joints, radius arm pins and top arm pins.

Wheels going on tomorrow after the brakes are bled and then it can go outside for a piccy.

Cheers

Ben

It needs setting up a bit but for a first start, i'm pleased with it.

Hopefully it will go outside under it's own steam. If not, ill push it

This morning, i bled the brakes and clutch.

And when that was done, i adjusted the handbrake and refitted the wheels and now the Mini is finally off of the axle stands

So the Mini now starts, drives and stops.

I couldn't get it outside at this point as Colin was working on a Range Rover in the doorway so i helped him get that done in the hope that it would be out of the way so i could get the Mini outside for some pictures.

Well that didn't happen so i decided now would be a good time to get the paintwork flatted in preparation for polishing

The whole car is now flatted ready for machine polishing tomorrow morning.

And a random shot of the engine bay

Cheers

Cheers Carlos.

No handbrake turns here although that may have been the way to get it out past the Range Rover  :shifty:

Weather dependent of course

Love the 'to do list' taped to the back window. It's so easy to forget vital stuff like torquing up the hub nuts when you come to the end of something like this, and the consequences of forgetting could be very expensive !

weather looks good for tomorrow. Make sure Colin shifts the other cars out of the way so the mini can see the light of day :D

I have gone round torquing up everything else but my big torque wrench which goes high enough for the hub nuts was at home so i needed to remember they still need doing tomorrow.

I think there was only 2 things on the list, everything else is done!

Just the door trims, harnesses and speedo to fit now.

Oh and one more thing.... oh yes.. the bonnet

Cheers

Ben
