Ben, a bit off topic, I look after one of these:

Would that Etalon be the right kind of thing to go on the rear load bed?  It has a plastic load bed cover but under the cover is a bit groady!

Everyday is a school day, 'groady'. Had to use the urban dictionary on that one

Its really more of an underbody coating as it does retain some flexability once fully cured but i would imagine it should do the job if you let it fully cure and then put the plastic load cover back in.

So as you know, yesterday was the last push with the prep work to fet everything ready for paint.

We painted the engine bay

and inside the boot

SlhqEDG.jpg

And as i mentioned, all of the hinges, shims and nic nacs

qGsyqJV.jpg

And this morning, i got some more pics of the paint job

Once it's had a good flat and polish, i'm sure it will look excellent.

Today was spent tidying up and sorting through the parts ready for reassembly.

I got what i needed to built up on the front subframe so that's ready to put in

And i fitted new gaiters to the driveshafts and steering rack

IySsWa7.jpg

And then assembled the radius arms with all new parts. I pressed new bearings and studs into the hubs too

The other side is done too but i didn't get a picture

And that's about it today.

More Monday!

Cheers

Ben

Tweed grey? Almost like seamist green, will be interesting to see it after the paint has 'dried down'

It sounds like one of those old M&S adverts
"The roof is not just black, it's Rover Paul Smith black"
