How do you replace a heater matrix in a 1995 Mini Cooper?

Drain the coolant system then place a shallow bowl under the two heater hoses in the passengers footwell and remove the two heater hoses. There should be two small cross headed screws on the same side remove these and then the heater matrix should slide out. Refitting is the reverse procedure.

As above but the first thing i do is remove the passenger seat  and the front carpet as it makes the whole job a lot easier. .Might be worth getting new metal pipes where the rubber ones go over incase yours are corroded.
