In the middle of doing this on mine right now. First time for me too, and I tell you the pictures are a huge help. Keep up the great work! Subscribed to your thread, to keep an eye on your progress.

Super clean - how did you do it? If you want to take it a stage further, sanding the marks out of the dashpot with wet'n'dry then polishing with a polishing wheel and compound on a drill will really finish it off.

Hard to say, considering I would put some time in here and there when I had time. I don't think it would take that long honestly if you knew what you were doing and just went at it until it was done.
