I’m also having a problem with the window not winding up, tight and doesn’t fully go up..
I’ve been advised not to shave the window down as that will remove the coating on the toughened window and it could shatter..
What are people’s thoughts on this as that doesn’t sound right to me, also it’s being suggested that the frame could be pinched when fitting door skins which could be causing the issue I’m having.
Any advice would be appreciated as I’m not getting very far
Thanks

When the windows are stiff, commonly caused by corrosion on the runners swelling them and pinching the window, the mechanism can jump a tooth on the engagemnt gear teeth causing misalignment of the arms which further stiffens the action.
Pull out the regulator, check that both arms are full up, when wound up.
While it's out check that the window is free in its tracks.

Without the seal it works fine which is why I think the seal vs window is too tight, will shaving the window edge down weaken the window I’m not convinced
Thanks

The way I solved it in the end, was to get the rubbers from the links in post #15

For some reason the Minispares ones just wouldnt work and they just bind up the glass, but the Phoenix ones worked much better. Why, I dont know. The profile on the rubber does seem a little different, but unsure why exactly.
I have the minispares electric window kit powering mine now, and they operate well. Before they were so stiff it would stall the motors out.
