You could fit Mk.1 Cooper 'S' internals and make it a 1071 or 970 unit, but that would cost a small fortune - maybe £2000.
If the pistons stick slightly out of the top of the bores it doesn't matter for a few thou. If it is a lot you can find pistons with a smaller distance between gudgeon pin c/like and piston top, or have the pistons skimmed
