Found your video on YouTube the other day, I love this idea! Im assuming registration will be the mx5 though as its pretty much an mx5 with a different body plonked on top. You might need to have an inspection I imagine.
Having owned an mx5 I know they are great fun! Especially with a welded diff :D

Well Its been a Little while since an update

 

That's because i changed plans and have decided to do a space frame build. still with the mx5 engine and rear wheel drive

 

here is the latest video on the car now its on the ground and rolling
