Hi;

My son has re-upholstered my rear seats but we still need to glue the leatherette material to the seat sponge - any idea what would be the best glue / process for this. It needs to be glued and pulled reasonably tight and then held in place until the glue sets?

Also same for the door cards, but I guess these can be glued (what;s best) and stapled?

Thanks

I've always used Evo Stik fabric impact adhesive for jobs like this - you can get it as a tin or a spray.

Spray on, wait til tacky and then apply the fabric.

You can find it pretty easily in Halfrauds, eBay etc

Most trimmers use a heat resistant glue for all car upholstery as the heat build up on a summers day can degrade normal glue. I use one from Woolies trim http://www.woolies-t...t-adhesive.aspx

This is the modern version of the ubiquitous "Dunlop Thixofix" made by Alpha who purchased the company from Dunlop. Good stuff.
